(1\/4)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Hey<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">This is a really exciting start to what I hope you\u2019ll find an incredibly useful mini-series\u2026.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">We\u2019re going to look at exactly how to create the <strong>perfect<\/strong> native ad.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"> This 4-part series will look at how to make your adverts as high-converting and effective as possible, and today\u2019s instalment, the first in the series, looks at how to create a winning angle\u2026 or hook.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">You see, for all the clever analogies you ever create\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">For every great image and headline that runs through your brain\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">And for all the high-converting traffic, and effective advertising platforms you run your ads on\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\"><i>Nothing <\/i><\/span><span class=\"s1\">is more important for your ads success than the actual hook behind it.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">It\u2019s what I like to call the \u2018Big Idea\u2019.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3 class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\"><b>So What is a Big Idea?<\/b><\/span><\/h3>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">In short, a Big Idea is what sets you galaxies apart from your competitors.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">It\u2019s the tool that makes people want to click your ad\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">And it\u2019s one of the most effective tools in your arsenal to get your campaigns the traction and exposure they need in order to succeed.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"> A Big Idea is the main *theme* of your advert \u2013 the angle that your marketing message portrays.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">It\u2019s something that almost <i>all <\/i>marketers just don\u2019t get\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">And when done correctly, it\u2019s something that can boost clicks, increase conversions, and grow opt-ins, at a rate you never thought <i>possible.<\/i><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">So let\u2019s break it down a little more.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">How many times have you seen an advert where it says something like\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\"><i>\u2018Secret Trick Reveals How To Lose 4lbs in 2 hours\u2019<\/i><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">I\u2019m guessing quite a few?<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">And while that advert was highly-successful years ago\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Today, consumers have \u2018wised\u2019 up, and are really tightening their grip on their hard earned cash.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The message isn\u2019t unique. It\u2019s been seen a thousand times before.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">And it doesn\u2019t stand <\/span><span class=\"s2\">out.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Now continue to use these generic, boring, and un-inspiring angles, and your marketing campaigns will simply merge into the <i>millions <\/i>of other campaigns seen each day on the web\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">But create a compelling\u2026 unique\u2026 and <i>powerful <\/i>angle\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">And your native ads can virtually explode, and get you results you never imaged possible.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3 class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\"><b>So How Exactly Do You Create A Big Idea That Makes Readers Desperate To Click?<\/b><\/span><\/h3>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Some marketers will tell you it needs originality.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Others will say it needs to be compelling.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">GREAT marketers will say it needs both.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">But in general, there are 3 core fundamentals that almost ALL marketers can agree\u2026 are vital to your ads success.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3 class=\"p4\"><span class=\"s1\"><b>Instant Appeal:<\/b><\/span><\/h3>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Perhaps the most well-known aspect of creating a Big Idea, your native ad needs to instantly capture the reader\u2019s attention.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Think about a good news headline \u2013 have you ever found yourself double-checking what you\u2019ve just read to make sure you read it correctly?<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Do you ever find yourself scrolling furiously down a page to find the price of something you <\/span><span class=\"s2\">really want?<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">That\u2019s Instant Appeal\u2026 and it\u2019s all about getting interest from your target market right off the bat.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Just look at this ad below\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1857\" src=\"https:\/\/www.nativeadbuzz.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/Testosterone.png\" alt=\"Testosterone\" width=\"185\" height=\"203\" \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">That\u2019s an example from NativeAdBuzz, and it displays instant appeal in a fantastic way \u2013 even I wanted to know more!<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">When creating instant appeal, think about what your market wants to see, and figure out a way to deliver a benefit through your native ad.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">OK, so we\u2019ve seen the important of instant appeal; what\u2019s next?<\/span><\/p>\n<h3 class=\"p4\"><span class=\"s1\"><b>Originality&#8230; with just the right amount of stealing:<\/b><\/span><\/h3>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Think about mobile apps (and yes, I know it\u2019s a weird concept to model, but it explains the concept nicely).<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Candy Crush is a game that has over a billion users\u2026 its creators, King, are worth 5.9\u00a0<i>billions <\/i>of dollars according to Activision.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">And it\u2019s arguably the most successful mobile game of all time.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">But\u00a0Candy Crush creators took inspiration from loads of games which went before, and since their success\u00a0many companies have\u00a0added their own\u00a0fresh original twist to the candy crush model\u00a0and have done very successfully!<\/span><\/p>\n<p>You see the trick is to steal like an artist&#8230;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Steal-Like-Artist-Things-Creative\/dp\/0761169253?ie=UTF8&amp;keywords=steal%20like%20an%20artist&amp;qid=1463633720&amp;ref_=sr_1_1&amp;sr=8-1\">click\u00a0here for an interesting book and quick read which explains very well how to be original and yet steal like an artist<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">This directly translates to your native ads \u2013 you can\u00a0create an angle which is unique\u2026 one that your consumers haven\u2019t seen before<\/span><span class=\"s1\">\u00a0by coming up with a\u00a0fresh take on something, that also contains (like we just talked about) the \u2018instant appeal\u2019 factor.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Here\u2019s an example of an ad I found in the NativeAdBuzz dashboard that showcases great originality.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1860\" src=\"https:\/\/www.nativeadbuzz.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/Extreme_pizza.png\" alt=\"Extreme_pizza\" width=\"176\" height=\"213\" \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">OK, so let\u2019s look at the third point\u2026.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3 class=\"p4\"><span class=\"s1\"><b>Emotionally Impactful:<\/b><\/span><\/h3>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">If you really want to get the most out of the readers looking at your ads, you need them to be emotionally impacting.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Emotions are the biggest seller in humans, and if you can target core emotions, you stand to win a TON of customers over.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Fear\u2026 Scarcity\u2026 Jealousy\u2026 Greed\u2026 Curiosity&#8230;<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Those are just a <i>few <\/i>of the emotions you can target, and when you manage to mentally infiltrate your consumers\u2019 minds by instilling a certain emotion in them\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">You can have them do almost ANYTHING you want (including clicking your ads!)<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">You also want to try to form a connection with your reader, by having them become emotionally attached to your advert. Charities do this really well by making you feel bad when you see one of their adverts\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">And while it\u2019s an extreme example, it goes to show how much impact emotion can have on our ability as humans to take action.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Here\u2019s another example from NativeAdBuzz which showcases an original ad angle really well!
