In this post, we\u2019re going to look at 3 seasonal adverts found inside the NativeAdBuzz software \u2013 these ads are all targeted towards the spring or summer ma4rkets, and advertisers are releasing them now to take advantage of the \u2018summer mood\u2019 that\u2019s slowly starting to make its way into the UK!<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">So without further ado, let\u2019s have a look\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"> Alright, so here\u2019s the first advert we\u2019re looking at today.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-1818 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/www.nativeadbuzz.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/sumemr_1-1.png\" alt=\"sumemr_1 (1)\" width=\"192\" height=\"248\" \/>Kinda generic\u2026 kinda \u2018seen before\u2019\u2026 kinda makes us feel wanna crucify the adverts creator for being so lame and unoriginal.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">(On a side note, damn\u2026 that chick isn\u2019t even that hot! Too skinny for my tastes, I like some curves. But this ad isn\u2019t aimed at men, it is aimed at women, and a lot of women crave tight toned bodies this time of year)<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Ok\u2026 so some bad points\u2026 now why are we featuring it?<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Well, if you\u2019re like us, chances are you\u2019ll have thought the same thoughts \u2013 it\u2019s not original enough, I\u2019ve seen that image loads!<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">And that, in part, is true. BUT\u2026 the reason this type of advert is seen so commonly is because it works. Sure, it might appear over-done to us marketers\u2026 but in reality, the reason they continue to run, is because they\u2019re getting results!<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Just have a look at the stats for this specific ad\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_1819\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1819\" style=\"width: 951px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-1819 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.nativeadbuzz.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/Capture12-1.png\" alt=\"Native advert stats from native ad buzz\" width=\"951\" height=\"290\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-1819\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">image showing stats for adverts<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Ok, so the graph itself is pretty up and down\u2026 there\u2019s even a slight downward trend visible in April, but it\u2019s been running for more than a month now.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">We\u2019ve seen it on 70+ publishers and it continues to gain strength.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">So, how can you use this ad in your marketing campaign?<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Realize that \u2018done\u2019, doesn\u2019t necessarily mean done.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">You\u2019ve probably heard the phrase \u2018don\u2019t re-invent the wheel\u2019. And it couldn\u2019t be more true. This image has been doing the rounds but the headline on this ad is focussed at the seasonal &#8220;beach-body&#8221; crowd, and that is a hungry market.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>While it\u2019s always <i>great <\/i>to add your own unique spin on things, you can take what\u2019s already working, repurpose it to target it to the right seasons and markets, and watch your campaigns explode!<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">OK, so let\u2019s look at the second example\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"><br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-1822 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/www.nativeadbuzz.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/2016-05-03_1520.png\" alt=\"2016-05-03_1520\" width=\"198\" height=\"216\" \/>This ad headline is similar to the one we just looked at, in the sense that it\u2019s promoting an \u2018easy trick\u2019 for a hot summer body. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Actually, the headlines are almost identical \u2013 but notice the difference in picture. The previous ad features a woman in serious shape\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The second features what appears to be an exotic fruit (although in the office we had guys thinking it was dinosaur eggs)\u2026 did I mention we\u2019re doing a staff-clear out, and want a new team?<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Ok I joke\u2026 our team are great\u2026 most of the time\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">But here\u2019s what we really like about this ad.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The headline gives a specific benefit. It promises a result. In particular, a result almost everyone would want.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">But the imagery\u2026 well, they use that almost deceptively to draw interest.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">This ad performs so well because it makes you actually <i>want <\/i>to click through, even if you\u2019re not initially interested in the benefits of the headline.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">So\u2026 you could be in the best shape of your life\u2026 but there\u2019s a good chance you\u2019ll wanna know what the image means\u2026 and what the \u2018easy trick\u2019 is\u2026 <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Which means you\u2019ll click through and head to the advertisers site!<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The point I\u2019m trying to make, is that you can easily instil a sense of intrigue in anyone your advert is shown to, to make them curious, and end up checking your site out.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\"><span class=\"s1\"> <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-1817 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/www.nativeadbuzz.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/sdsdsdsd.png\" alt=\"sdsdsdsd\" width=\"169\" height=\"219\" \/>Here\u2019s a third ad I want you to take a look at. Now, you might be saying to yourself\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\"><span class=\"s1\">\u2018This ad doesn\u2019t look special \u2013 why are you mentioning this?\u2019<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\"><span class=\"s1\">But there\u2019s a reason.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\"><span class=\"s1\">And a good one, at that.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\"><span class=\"s1\">Now this is going deep into psychological \u2018trigger\u2019s\u2019, and you may think it\u2019s a load of garbage\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\"><span class=\"s1\">But for those of you who spend a lot of time working with native ads, and <i>know <\/i>that tiny triggers can make all the difference in your campaigns, then listen up.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\"><span class=\"s1\">You see, this ad \u2013 of course \u2013 is well-targeted to Virginia locals. That\u2019s obvious.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\"><span class=\"s1\">The freaking headline talks directly about it!<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\"><span class=\"s1\">But here\u2019s the thing\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\"><span class=\"s1\">The image in question features a group of girls. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\"><span class=\"s1\">They\u2019re out together \u2013 enjoying the sun \u2013 having a good time. There\u2019s smiles on their faces, and they look hassle-free.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\"><span class=\"s1\">What does this have to do with anything?<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\"><span class=\"s1\">Well, I\u2019ll tell you a little secret of the advertising world.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\"><span class=\"s1\">People LOVE communities. A sense of belonging.
